Project Anew is an initiative by Malta law firm GANADO Advocates, geared towards assisting start ups kick-start their operations.
Who qualifies for this initiative?
Young individuals who are determined to transform their innovative business idea, product or service into reality are encouraged to apply.
Which sectors qualify?
Although projects of a technological, financial or scientific nature may be preferred, there is no exhaustive list of qualifying sectors.
How will successful applicants benefit?
Under this scheme, successful applicants will receive:
- Free legal advice on regulatory requirements, assistance with the incorporation of their company or partnership, advice on intellectual property rights, employment law advice, contract law advice and other ongoing legal advice as the case may be
- Assistance with business networking, both in Malta and internationally
- Free office space, in the heart of Valletta, for one selected start up for a pre-determined period of time
How many hours of free advice will I get?
This will be determined on a case by case basis. We have purposely decided not to cap the amount of hours that any beneficiary can enjoy or the time period over which services can be offered – we want the scheme to be flexible so it accommodates the different requirements of different projects.
What happens at the end of the scheme?
There will be no binding obligation for beneficiaries under this scheme to continue using the firm’s services once the scheme comes to an end. At that point, it’s entirely up to them to decide whether they would like to continue working with the firm, or otherwise.

This service will be provided on an ongoing basis – there is no deadline for applications.
