A symposium “Trust as the greatest and most distinctive achievement of the English”: Can the Civil Law do better? Published on May 26, 2015 Dr Max Ganado, Managing Partner, was a guest speaker at the Symposium organised by the Corte per Il Trust e I Rapporti Fiduciari and was held at San Marino on the 22 and 23 May 2015 at the Kursaal Congress Centre. This Symposium reassessed the evidence concerning fiduciary arrangements in civilian systems – inter vivos as well as mortis causa, diachronically as well as synchronically. The Symposium also looked at modern trusts as the lever that pressurized many civil law systems into developing new legal tools of varying competitive effectiveness. Go back
