GANADO Advocates Participates at FinanceMalta 9th Annual Conference Published on May 9, 2016 Dr Andre Zerafa, Dr Nicholas Curmi and Dr Matthew Brincat participated at FinanceMalta’s 9th Annual Conference, that was organised on Thursday, 26th May at the Hilton Malta Hotel. This year’s conference, entitled ‘Malta’s Financial Services Industry – Sustaining Growth through Innovation’, saw the participation of key local and international financial services practitioners who reviewed current topics affecting the financial services industry. Dr Andre Zerafa, Partner and Head of GANADO Advocates’ Investment Services and Funds team and Chairman of IFSP’s Investment Business Sub-Committee, moderated a panel discussion about Malta as a domicile of choice for private equity and venture capital funds. Dr Nicholas Curmi, Associate within the firm’s Capital Markets team, participated in a panel discussion on the recent growth and significant future potential of Malta’s securitisation sector. Dr Matthew Brincat, who leads GANADO Advocates’ Pensions and Employment practice and is also the General Secretary of the Malta Association of Retirement Scheme Practitioners (MARSP), delivered the keynote speech and moderated the panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities that arise when creating and servicing European Pension Funds.
