On 25th July 2014, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) has published a call for advice sent by the European Commission on the development of a single market for personal pensions.
It was reported that Insurance undertakings writing general business experienced an increase of almost 15.2 per cent in gross premium written, from €1.38 billion in 2012 to €1.59 billion in 2013.
